Misc Tabblos and Etc

My favorite films? My taste is very eclectic I even like corn ball films like West Side Story and It's a wonderful life. But the films that would influence me most as a filmmaker are: The Big Labowski, Requiem for a Dream, Amiele, Carlitos Way, Night on Earth, A Clockwork Orange, Fearless, Wristcutters a Love Story, Good Fellas and other gritty character studies. I especially like adaptations of Shakespeare like Richard III with Ian McKellen, Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet, Ethan Hawke's Hamlet and my favorite Titus by Julie Taymor. You can view the trailer and a short scene from Titus below. Link to Brink Tabblo Link to Yamaha Photo Shoot Tabblo At The Library of Congress Chuck E. Weiss do you see any resemblance?

Meanwhile back in the year One - when you belonged to no-one - you didn't stand a chance son, if your pants were undone.`Cause you were bred for humanity and sold to society - one day you'll wake up in the Present Day - a million generations removed from expectations of being who you really want to be. Skating away - Skating away - Skating away - on the thin ice of a new day. "The pure plastic act is only secondary. What really counts is the drama of the pure plastic act. Actor & Cinematographer

I started off as a photographer and even though I have been focused on acting lately, I still enjoy working behind the camera. That combined experience really pays when I am directing.

See my web site www.chuckeys.com for more films and examples of my work. There is a link to it on the right.

Best Local Drinking Film

Drunk by Noon
www.drunkbynoon.net
Want to know where to go to get plastered in this town? Drunk by Noon is 21 minutes of classic Denver dive bars threaded together through the story of a Madison Avenue advertising executive who suddenly has an epiphany: He's been destroying the planet through his work. Directed by Eric Galatas and starring local actors Chuck Fiorella and Laura Norman, the short features PS 1515 (as well as several other favorite spots to get soused), a soundtrack by El Chapultepec's Tony Black Quartet, and comic strips by Lucas Richards. Think globally, drink locally.

Pinetop Perkins

I was lucky and met Pinetop Perkins a couple of times when he came through Denver. I even got to sing a few bars of "MOJO" with him when he played in Lyons. He needed a pedal for his piano and I happened to have one with me so he used it for the show and afterwards, autographed for me.

You can see in the video below my friend Allison reminding him about the pedal he borrowed from me so that he would let us into his sold out show in Denver about a year later.

Tres aka Richard III

A very talented THEO WILSON wrote and performs a rap of the opening monologue to Richard III which I call TRES.

Richard III
is an example of what happens when we allow terrible deeds to flourish because they seem to serve our ends. When our own quest for power or safety allows a man to become a tyrant. The acts that Richard commits are transparently corrupt and immoral, yet the other characters sit by and say nothing. And neither do we.
